The Hydrothermal Therapy Experience
One of the core principles of hydrotherapy is heat, often referred to as hydrothermal therapy. Today you can bring these wonderful benefits right into your home as part of your personal hydrotherapy experience.
A water temperature of 94 to 96 degrees F (close to skin temperature) promotes relaxation, and begins to loosen tight muscles. Immersion in hotter water (between 102 and 104 degrees F) causes blood vessels to dilate, improving circulation and providing relief to everyday aches and pains and stress-related conditions such as backache.
Of course everyone’s body will react differently to various forms of hydrotherapy, but the following is a basic breakdown of what you might expect from a typical hydrothermal session.
Please note hydrotherapy should not be used in lieu of standard medical care. If you have a medical condition or are pregnant, consult with your physician before starting any hydrotherapy program.
