The Wellness Mandate: Hydro Systems Makes Debut at High Point Market

Once the exclusive domain of health enthusiasts and spa fanatics, the wellness category has officially moved into the mainstream. Now representing an estimated $6.8 trillion global economy—a figure projected to surge to $9.8 trillion by 2029— wellness was a major narrative at this year’s Spring High Point Market, held April 25–29. At the center of this evolution was Hydro Systems, making its debut at the home furnishings trade show in the immersive showroom experience for Buster + Punch.

Hydro Systems was one of 13 other premier product brands chosen for the groundbreaking installation, which presented collections within a sequence of curated residential room settings designed to reflect how designers specify products in real-world projects. Eschewing the traditional, single category trade show booth, the Buster + Punch showroom at High Point Market was arranged as a series of layered vignettes spanning bedroom, lounge, cabinetry, and bath environments. The collaboration placed Hydro Systems’ Alamo tub at the center of a wellness bath vignette, illustrating how a high-performance hydrotherapy experience can coexist with the sophisticated solid-metal detailing of Buster + Punch and their Bath Vanity Collection.

For many of the 75,000 attendees, it was the first time a trade show provided a real-world roadmap for such a cohesive wellness specification. Designers weren’t just looking at individual products in isolation, noted David Schlocker, President of Buster + Punch. “They could see exactly how every material, finish, and detail fit within a fully articulated design story,” he said. Many of the designers who visited the showroom weren’t merely browsing; they were actively seeking solutions for integrating wellness into their current projects with serious intent.

“The highlight of the show was the conversations we had,” said Rene’ DeRose Director of Business Development for Hydro Systems. “It was a chance to hear directly from designers about the projects they’re working on, and learn more about how we can help them integrate wellness into their current bath designs.”

Hydro Systems’ debut at a major home furnishings trade show like High Point Market—and within an experiential context like the one Buster + Punch presented— marks a pivotal milestone for the wellness industry, added DeRose. “It shows that it’s not just a niche anymore, or relegated to certain trades,” she said. “Everyone is talking about wellness and looking at how to integrate wellness amenities into the fabric of their daily lives.”

As wellness continues its unprecedented growth as a category, Hydro Systems remains focused on bringing modern hydrotherapy solutions to the forefront of the design conversation. “We welcome any opportunity to show designers how hydrotherapy can be integrated seamlessly into everyday rituals without compromising the aesthetic or style they’ve worked so hard to achieve,” said DeRose.
