Refined Country Living with Erinn V. in the Santa Rosa Valley
Award-winning interior designer Erinn V., is credited for her refined residential projects, luxury furniture brand Erinn V., her software company StyleRow and her interior design masterclasses. Her designs have been featured in Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, Town & Country, House Beautiful, and more. Her boutique design firm is known for its interpretations of California lifestyle. Erinn V’s designs for clients are elegant, but livable, and those watchwords also apply to her choices for her own home, nestled in the beautiful Santa Rosa Valley, about 45 minutes outside of Los Angeles.
Erinn V describes the aesthetic here as “refined country living” which balances sophistication and comfort, reflecting a relaxed California lifestyle. In the home’s inviting living room, this style is interpreted though features such as the warm natural stone fireplace and textured, touchable furnishings. Height, light, and views are all essential to the overall sense of openness and refinement in the space. Erinn V emphasizes craftsmanship and materiality in all her designs, and her home reflects those principles, with furnishings such as a dramatic, oversize handmade pendant in the entryway.
The home’s color palette centers of white, black, gray, and natural wood, and those tones harmonize throughout the home. In the kitchen, the leathered black nero marquina marble contrasts with white cabinets and wooden furnishings.
Upstairs in the primary suite, Erinn V created what she calls “Napa hotel vibes” with warm neutrals and touchable elements. Wood and upholstered furniture softens the space while the viola marble fireplace adds a stylish element. The designer created a custom wood bookshelf tucked into the wall and added textural elements such as boucle fabric on the soft furnishings and antique weathered wood accent tables. Her hardware collection with Baldwin, Hollywood Hills, sparkles on the doors to the elegant balcony. In the primary bath, she chose Hydro Systems’ Versailles bathtub with a complete jetted system fitted with a custom marble surround and accented with unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures by Perrin & Rowe. The tub overlooks the gorgeous countryside. Light floods the space while privacy is maintained.
The home, Erinn V says, feels like “a little slice of paradise” with stunning views in all directions and a perfect combination of relaxation and sophistication.
