The liquid mercury inspired sculpture, Cloud Gate, was created by Indian born British artist Anish Kapoor starting in 2004 and finishing in 2006. This 110-ton oblique sculpture is made up of numerous highly polished stainless steel plates which reflects Chicago’s renowned skyline and is located at the Millennium Park. Cloud Gate’s mirror-like surface draws in visitor’s everyday so that they can touch the smooth figure and see their image reflecting back at them. This sculpture is the largest of its kind in the world measuring at 66-feet long by 33-feet high and a must see when visiting this beautiful city.
