INSPIRATION | The Richmond Olympic Oval in Vancouver is a premiere multi-use sports venue originally built to host speed skating events during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The architectural design of the Oval was inspired by the image of the Heron, a wild bird native to the nearby Fraser River. The concept of flow, flight and fusion is visible in the delicate juxtaposition of the building’s curved and linear forms.
